Art Museum

Yesterday our class had a field trip to an art museum and it went great. Well maybe except for us trying to take pictures which can be quite difficult using a web cam on a labtop as a camera, But I was lucky and brought my cell phone to take pictures of the artwork. Although I can't put them on here I can still look at them on my phone for future reference. The art was interesting and I found lot's of late 70's paintings that were very intriguing, especialy with the color use. One called Excuse Me by Jim Nutt intrigued me alot by it's usage of orane and purple, which makes the whole painting just pop right in front of your face. The second painting that took my interest greatly was Flood Cell by James Casebere. It reminded me of some of the newer cover art for the swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquility. The color usage made it a very dark painting compared to the other paintings in the museum . I found it odd that that was the only somewhat dark painting I even found at the museum.
